Professional Training & Experience

I am a Professional Psychotherapist and Counsellor, with membership of two nationally recognised bodies overseeing standards in the field of mental health- the UKCP and BACP. I adhere to their ethical standards and am fully insured. I am also a qualified Supervisor (UKCP) and support the work and good practice of other mental health professionals.

For over 20 years, my work has focused on supporting people's psychological health, within the NHS, family, schools, and community settings.

I have undertaken 12 years of professional training in the field of mental health and this is reflected in the quality of care I offer. I have an MA in Psychotherapy, from The Karuna Institute and a Diploma in Counselling from the University of the West of England.

I have provided psychotherapy in the NHS (Torbay) as a volunteer for 3 years, and worked in the field of alcohol counselling in Bristol. I have also supported Carers in the Community and worked in a psychiatric hospital for those with more complex mental health needs.
